Ride 'em Cowboy!

When Chris and I first got a baby book for Graham, we read through many of the pages and questions and we had a running joke about how the answer to the questions about "my favorite toys", "my friends", "my favorite animals", "things that made you laugh", "favorite thing to sleep with" was always going to be the cats!  Graham has always been very interested in the cats...way more interested that they are in him.  However, we have reached an all new level of comfort with our new "bff", Rescue.

I don't know what is more disturbing about this scenario...the fact that Rescue let him sit on him like that for an extended period of time or that all of this is happening on a rubbermaid bin a good 1 1/2 feet off the ground?

Now that I think about it, the most disturbing part is probably that Chris didn't stop him, but instead got up to get a picture of all the fun in our 18 month old world!

You will also notice that Frankie is conspicuously absent from this event.  He is probably the smartest one of the bunch!

On the menu tonight...

Alphabet Soup!!!

Graham gotten to love "helping" in the kitchen.  He plays a mean pot and pan band and loves imitating what he is seeing us do.  The result tonight was alphabet soup.  So tasty!

Spring Fling

Friday Night was the Spring Fling at Everhart, and I think it safe to say that Graham had as much fun as a 17 month old can have at a Spring Fling.

Needless to say, he slept really well Friday night!

Happy Easter!

Whew!  What a crazy whirlwind of an Easter weekend!! And here we are, Sunday night at 9:30,  and I can still hear Graham in his bed telling his bear all about his adventures today!   Hmm, I wonder if it is residual sugar high from the approximately 10 jelly beans I let him have today?!

Graham definitely enjoyed his Easter this year.  We visited the Easter Bunny on Tuesday night, and fortunately, Graham was still all smiles this year!  He walked/ran right up to the Bunny, waved and said "Hi!" and proceeded to climb in her lap and make himself at home!

Graham enjoyed the Easter breakfast, egg hunt, and service at church too.  He is definitely the son of musicians as he can be wiggling and squirming about until the music starts.  Then he stops and is all ears listening to the different sounds.  Today, there were extra fun sounds at church as there were lots of friends Graham's age.  We even managed to get a picture with our friend, Ricky who was born right before Christmas.  It seems as though they are deep in conversation already!

Over the course of the weekend, Graham had fun at 3 egg hunts!!  I think he probably thought we were all crazy...asking him to pick up eggs, put them in the basket, and ignore the swings and slides nearby!  Priorities when you are a 17 month old, people!

Hunting eggs with Daddy

Ball in one hand, egg in the other!

Now can I slide?

Ready to hunt for eggs at church
Lookin' Cute!
Tell me again why we are doing this Mommy!
Found another

It was definitely a learning curve, but by the third one in our backyard today, he finally had it and was running around the yard picking up eggs and dutifully bringing them back to the basket I was holding.  He loved shaking the eggs and loved them even more when he discovered that they had jelly beans or goldfish crackers inside!  He was also excited to see what goodies the Easter Bunny had left him!  Ernie, Bert, a "Ca" (Lightning McQueen) and a "tuc"  (Mater) made his day!
Almost as much as strewing the Easter grass all around the house!

From our family to yours, Happy Easter!

Overheard at the Reeces

Crashing sounds....

Me:  What is Graham doing?

Chris (going to check):  Helping...

Me:  Helping with what?

Chris:  Currently?  Toilet Paper!

Just like Daddy

Saturday was the Area Games for Special Olympics and Chris has several Ruediger students competing in track events.  Since it was such an incredibly gorgeous day, I decided to take Graham out and cheer everyone on!  The students did an amazing job, Chris was a fabulous coach, and Graham had more fun than everyone else combined!!!

He ran back and forth across the football field from one event to the next, watching the athletes run, throw, catch, jump, and play.  I think he may just have inherited his Dad's love of running!

Spring Cleaning

After getting back from Springbreak, I decided that it was probably time to put away the sweaters that we had never really worn in our mild Florida winter this year.  This seemingly simple task turned into an on-going project that involved organizing, sorting, pitching, and cleaning...you know, one of those wherein you have to make a bigger mess in order to really clean up?!?!  Luckily for me, I have great help!
